An exciting opportunity for a food sales account manager role.

Our client is an independent global leader at the forefront of scientific analysis, research, consultancy and training providing services to the Global food and pharmaceutical sectors.
Their long established business applies leading-edge science, with integrity and service, to exceed expectations and to deliver great value to our customers. They are currently looking for a Food Account Manager for UK and Irish Customers within the Commercial Team. Within the role you'll take on the full array of business development responsibilities, including client calls, visits, and proposal preparation, in order to achieve stretching revenue growth targets. This will involve partnering with technical specialists and translating customer needs into appropriate project strategies. This is a wide-ranging, challenging role that in addition to developing relationships with current customers and hunting for new sales opportunities could also see you getting involved with key strategic initiatives, provide insights into market needs and represent us at external events. This is an ideal role either for someone who is looking to move into a Commercial environment to build upon their laboratory and/or Manufacturing experience, or for someone already involved with selling services who is looking for a new challenge.
Key Accountabilities:
*To be the Commercial Account Manager for a number of designated food sector accounts, acting as the principal contact
*Optimise calls by 'selling-on' other services to the client, where appropriate.
*Assist the Customer Services team as required at periods of peak demand to ensure that clients are provided with a professional service.
*Generally assist the Head of Sales and wider commercial team as required.
*Support the Commercial team with the co-ordination and collation of RFI's proposals and tenders as required.
*Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; raise questions and concerns when faced with an ethical or compliance issue; apply integrity in all aspects of professional conduct.
