Our client based in Cardiff is looking for a Finance Manager from FS background to join their team. The role will involve working within the Credit Cards Planning team on a Fixed Term Contract basis until December 2017. The right person will be responsible for delivering the operating plans and quarterly forecasts for the cards business alongside all the stress testing requirements from both internal and external sources. You'll provide a comprehensive support to the business including Planning/Forecasting analysis and insight to help identify the key trends emerging within the business.

Responsibilities:

* To manage the co-ordination and delivery of operating plans, quarterly forecasts and latest Views through the modelling of key business drivers for the P&L and balance Sheet
* To take ownership of the detailed forecast model, driving continual process improvements
* Preparation of outputs from the forecast process with insightful analytical analysis against key comparators
* Preparation of clear and insightful presentations, capturing key messages from the forecast round
* To work closely with teams across the business and within the Consumer Finance division to drive engagement in the planning process and capture all requirements, providing challenge and feedback at all stages
* To manage submissions for delivery to Consumer Finance division
* To support the development of reports within the "MI Solution" to support the analysis and output of the forecast process

Essential Attributes:

* Qualified accountant
* Experience within a financial services environment
* Ability to manage the efficient and effective production of high quality output and analysis that meets stakeholder needs, with excellent attention to detail in written and numerical outputs
* Strong analytical skills
* Confident verbal communicator with ability to influence at all levels
* Ability to produce clearly written reports to a very high quality of presentation
* Experience of using Microsoft applications, with strong Excel skills
