Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role is a part a small Finance team where you will support the Sudbury site as well as having sole responsibility for the Aintree site. Our Opportunity.
We are looking for an Assistant Financial Controller who will have a strong grasp on financial reporting by:
Prepare weekly / monthly cost centre reports and liaising with departmental managers to understand key variances and identify risks and opportunities within the factory.
Having a hands on approach to budgeting and forecasting and an ability to find creative solutions and new ways of working.
Being the custodian of the fixed asset register and creating the projects for the site as we continue to grow and support our safety first culture.
Lead delivery of strategic cost improvement projects someone with some experience in Six Sigma, FI, or other cost reduction programmes
The successful candidate will have a real passion for finance and want to develop a broad knowledge and understanding, with a real grasp of a role in an FMCG business. Clear service and results-focused with high proactive cooperation mind-set, you will need to have the ability to create strong networks, with the ability to gain the confidence and respect of others whilst having experience of influencing a cross-functional audience using data analysis and presentations. Experience of Six Sigma, Fi or other cost reduction programme methodology and delivery is desirable, as is CIMA.

We expect you to role model our behaviours to influence, inspire and engage others showing a strong aptitude for creatively finding solutions to problems and suggesting new ways of working to enable the factory to compete at a higher level.

Ideally, you will be educated to degree level (or equivalent) and be able to demonstrate the intellectual capability to operate at a high level within the factory and Finance function.
