We are current representing our established consultancy client in their focus to appoint a Senior Manager level for Prudential Regulation Advisory.

As a member of the Prudential Regulation team, you will be working at the forefront of the latest changes to Irish, European and International financial regulation delivering solutions to our clients in relation to the latest regulatory and industry issues relating to how institutions must adapt to the changing regulatory landscape - e.g. capital and liquidity management and the Single Supervisory Mechanism.

You will support our financial services industry clients in developing cutting edge risk management practices, ensuring sufficient capital and liquidity in challenging economic times. Drawing on your knowledge and experience, you will provide innovative commercial insights for clients, adapt methods and practices to fit operational team and cultural needs, and contribute to thought leadership. You will also actively contribute to improving operational efficiency and quality on projects and internal initiatives.

Prudential Regulation sits within the Financial Services Advisory team and works with Irish and international clients on prudential issues such as:

* Stress testing
* Basel III/ CRD IV
* Pillar 3
* Resolution and Recovery Planning
* Legal entity structuring
* New or amended authorisations
* Reporting

The Irish team is fully integrated into a network of the Prudential Regulation and Risk professionals across Europe. We are a mix of former regulators and experienced industry consultants and practitioners.

Client responsibilities

* Participate in and, as required, lead risk and regulatory client engagements
* Research the latest Irish, European and International regulatory developments and our clients' response
* Prepare, or assist in the preparation of, reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
* Understand all our service offerings and actively identify opportunities to better serve clients
* Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
* Build strong internal relationships within the European Financial Services Advisory practice and across our other service lines

People responsibilities

* Develop our people through effective supervising, coaching, and mentoring.
* Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training Financial Services Risk professionals.
* Maintain a training and development program to continually develop personal skills.
* Understand, follow and communicate workplace policies and procedures to all levels of staff.

Skills & Experience

* Knowledge of prudential regulation, along with the skills and experience to work with clients on practical solutions, and a willingness to learn and take our offerings forward is essential

* Experience in, or exposure to, at least one of the following:

* Working at the regulator on prudential matters
* Regulatory reporting within a regulated institution
* Stress testing
* Capital planning
* Recovery and Resolution Planning
* Credit risk
* Market risk
* Banking or asset management industry and products

* "Self starter" with proactive approach
* Strong academic background including a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or a related field
* An Accounting, risk management (PRMIA, GARP, ACOI) or similar professional qualification would be an advantage, as would previous consulting experience
