Account Executive

Location - Bournemouth, Dorset

Salary - GBP20k per annum, plus excellent benefits

Hours - Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm

Our client, an award winning business, is looking to recruit an Account Executive. You will be responsible for servicing a book of new and existing clients and renewal portfolio. Managing and providing a quality service by meeting client demands and needs in order to achieve optimum profitable renewal retention rate and growth.

You will ideally have experience of generating new business by identifying, building, nurturing and maintaining relationships with potential clients including continued relationship management of clients.
Key Responsibilities

* Manage client/prospect relationships and grow the book/existing accounts, providing the most appropriate insurance and risk management solutions
* Negotiate with insurers to obtain terms for clients that accurately and effectively match customer requirements
* Establish and manage a sales pipeline of potential clients
* Analyse and interpret sales data to identify unexpected patterns and trends
* Build up a sales pipeline of business opportunities that will ensure sales targets are met
* Proactively seek out commercial opportunities and partnerships
* Promote and sell additional applications and services to clients
* Work closely with Internal Underwriting and Insurers to negotiate terms and conditions of placements
* Deal with internal and external queries from colleagues / underwriters / Insurers

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

* Cert CII/ Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications) desirable
* Good knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd's and Industry) products, services, classes of insurance including underlying legal principles and practices relating to risk within own role capacity
* Awareness of the regulatory requirements in respect of 'advised' and 'non-advised' sales, and in particular evidencing the standards and knowledge required in respect of giving advice and making recommendations to customers
* Working to targets
* Tactical negotiation and influencing experience with internal/external stakeholders
* Persistent and tenacious in achieving results
* Proactive in lead management and follow up
* Excellent planning and analytical skills
* Continually builds and sustains a network managing relationships
