Head of/Director of Payments, Up to GBP80,000 base, Hampshire Area, VC Backed Technology Company with HUGE potential.

The Company

This client is really one to watch for the future, already with a global presence they are growing at a phenomenal rate so it`s a great time to come aboard. VC backed with a tremendous track record and growth they have doubled their revenue in the last 12 months and are on track to continue this growth for the foreseeable future - in fact the sales teams are doing so well that they are now looking for a Head of Payments to ensure a strong consistency across all payment operations. This company are known for their managed global payroll services which in turn help organisations increase efficiency, streamline compliance, and achieve greater visibility into payroll performance and costs.

The Role Itself:

As Head of Payments your job will be to understand how payments run, consistently improve the operation and looks to always improve. Typical duties will include:

Manage the Payment Service Delivery team currently a team of 8

Act as key contact for strategic payments service vendors

Drive the selection and on-boarding of new vendors to further enhance the global payments solution

Take ownership of the global payments solution

Maintain awareness of Payments industry trends and innovations to ensure that the company is offering the best in service payment operations

Provide support to Sales team to so there is a great compliment between sales and payment operations

Provide support and work closely with the Marketing team

Participate in programmes and projects to enhance the payments solution

Provide support to wider Payments Compliance team

Investigate where the company has global payment gaps and ensure these gaps and are filled with the most appropriate solution

Who you should be:

Ideally you will have strong payments operations experience gained within a Fintech technology led company

You will also need to be commercially astute, have a appetite to always look for improvements , have a great attitude to work, be a fair man manager, have a bit of charisma (as part of the role will involve some negotiation with secondary suppliers) and not be too set in your ways.

You will also have a good grasp on technology and have a strong investigative mind
