New Directions Education are looking to recruit qualified primary school teachers to work in schools across the Runcorn area.

Are you interested in being a primary school supply teacher who is looking for the flexibility, variety and rewards you can find through supply teaching or an NQT ( Newly qualified teacher) looking to gain as much experience in the classroom as possible.

We have supply teacher positions available, from 1 day a week, to a full working week. Temporary supply teacher placements can often lead on to further employment and permanent placements. We work around both the school and your requirements. To be a supply teacher you must:

Have UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Have excellent time management skills and the ability to travel.
Strong behavior management and high behavior expectations.
Be committed to raising standards and passionate about teaching and furthering students education.
Have the ability to keep pupils focused and on task.
Have the ability to develop professional relationships with both staff and pupils.
Be able to work in line with school policies and procedures.

Typical duties of a Supply Primary Teacher

Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism;
Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment;
Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges;
Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation;
Maintain discipline;
Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development;
Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area;
Staying up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum;
Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening;
Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools.
