Due to current state of the business, this progressive and client based water treatment/water hygiene company with a national presence across the UK requires the services of a focused, competent and hardworking Legionella Risk Assessor based in London but will include applications from Hertfordshire, Surrey, Bedfordshire and the surrounding areas.

The applicant must possess the City & Guilds or WMS certificate or any relevant qualification and must have valid and varied legionella risk assessment experience that is carrying out legionella risk assessments in line with ACOP, L8 risk accreditation and within the water treatment/water hygiene parameter.

Must come from a technical, chemical, Health & Safety and educational background.

Must have varied and vast practical experience working with various systems, cooling towers, etc.

Must have significant experience working within this role and within the water hygiene/legionella industry.

Holding the NEBOSH or the IOSH certificate will be beneficial.

Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal and be proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package.

Must be fully conversant with the Health & Safety legislation appertaining to water services, etc.

Key Tasks:

Conducting Legionella Risk Assessments to ACOP L8 on site.

Compiling remedial actions and compiling schematic drawings and collating and producing accurate reports for clients and dealing with any problems and taking corrective action.

Carrying out monthly temperature testing and water sampling.

Carrying out surveys of water systems and supplies as per ACOP L8.

Providing recommendations and prices for remedial works, routine control measure through quotations and carrying out such works based on the risk assessments.

Organizing and prioritizing workload and liaising with other team members to ensure all work is carried within time line

Dealing with any issues appropriately and ensuring all work is carried out effectively and within time frame.

Carrying out audits - Health & Safety and overseeing work and ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with the Health and Safety procedures.

Collating reports.

Liaising with clients on a regular basis.

Requirements:

The post-holder must be conscientious, flexible, have good work ethic and have the ability to multi-task and carry out the work effectively and within time scale.

Must be prepared to travel to designated sites.
