Head of MFL Teacher - French & Spanish

Pearson Whiffin Education are working on behalf of a school in the Tonbridge and Malling area to find an experienced qualified MFL teacher with TLR 2C for September 2017 start, on a full-time basis. The successful teacher will have Spanish and French as their subject specialisms.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a popular, Ofsted rated Good school.

You will play a pivotal role in the development of students and be committed to raising academic achievement through outstanding teaching. You will take the lead on a key stage, the curriculum and the quality of learning within it.

Responsibilities of the Head of MFL

* Be an inspirational teacher with a proven track record of delivering high quality lessons with excellent student outcomes
* Have the vision and leadership skills to move the department forward
* Be committed to raising standards for all students
* Be capable of developing staff within a team to secure outstanding results
* Be forward thinking and pro-active in identifying key trends and responding to the inherent changes required in the delivery of this subject area
* Ensure all forms of assessment are being utilised so students know how they can improve.
* Attend monthly staff CPD sessions to share ideas of outstanding teaching.
* Implement and follow school behaviour management policy.

Requirements of the Head of MFL

* UK Qualified teaching status in French & Spanish. Ability to teach GCSE, AS and A-level
* Experience teaching secondary MFL and extensive subject knowledge
* Excellent behaviour management experience
* Proven strategy planning skills
* Shown commitment to learning and development of pupils
* Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students
