The Product Specialist provides product advice, including workflow analyses, to clients and prospects in the assigned territory and additionally, supports the national sales team members with high-level "across the portfolio" support and training including pre-presentation assessments, product presentations, and demonstrations during the pre-sale process. The Product Specialist articulates the vision, value, and relevance of the portfolio of solutions to prospective clients, clients, and other interested parties through presentations, web demonstrations, webinars, conferences, and symposia. As the subject matter expert on the sales team, the Product Specialist takes the lead role in creating, updating, and maintaining presentations and demonstrations, serves as the liaison with marketing and product management and trains product specialists, sales executives, and others on the national sales teams.

Responsibilities:

• Performs high level workflow analysis at the prospective client site, advising about improvements to increase utilisation, and conducts other pre-demonstration assistance for the national sales team
• Documents findings, observations, and recommendations derived from the assessment in the customer relationship management or other systems within 48 hours of completing the visit; ensures client information is entered and maintained in a timely and accurate manner.
• Develops updates, and maintains presentations, web demonstrations, webinars, etc., in support of all sales teams. Supports sales channels as clinical subject matter expert during sales demonstrations.
• Serves as the liaison between product management, product marketing, and the sales team.
• Takes the lead role in developing media and material that best positions the value of the products and in developing and supporting demonstration databases for use by product specialists and national sales team members.
• Trains the product specialists and national sales team members regarding the products and demonstrating the products.
• Participates as a Presenter in regional and national symposia and client conferences, trade shows, and regional and company sales meetings as necessary.
• Recommends additional products and services to prospective clients and clients that will enhance product performance and refers such clients to either the UK Sales Team or Vice President of Clinical Strategy. Provides such other and further support as may be necessary or as assigned by management.
• Works with management to suggest and implement process improvement.

Qualifications:

• 5 years of hospital based patient placement and automated patient flow/capacity management technology experience.
• Clinical background preferred including registered nurse, EMT or paramedic experience, and other clinical experience accepted.
• Lean or Six Sigma training / knowledge a plus
• Strong interpersonal and team skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills including training and presentation delivery to all levels of the client organisation and to client hospital senior leadership.
• Team player.
• Strong time and project management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Proficient using automated patient flow/capacity management technology (or easily trained).

• Bachelor's degree with a health care

This role will require regular travelling throughout the UK.
