Pensions Consultant

Following a prolonged period of huge success and growth, a well established and prestigious Wealth Management PLC is seeking to expand its existing Pensions team and are now seeking an experienced, ambitious Senior Pensions Consultant.

This role has been designed to offer the successful individual a fast track career path to Head of Department within a couple of years and Directorship within the organisation fairly imminently after that.

Working within a professional and well established team, you will be providing a comprehensive consultancy service to a small portfolio of existing schemes.

The role includes:
•Liaising with Member Trustees re: Contributions, Transfers, objectives etc. Those objectives could include bank borrowing, Loanbacks, General Scheme Investments, VAT, Benefit Calculation, Property Purchases, Property Sale and Lease.
•Liaising with professional connections.
•Pension payments both from Pension Capped Drawdown and Flexi-access Drawdown.
•Dealing and taking responsibility for a whole myriad of questions from Scheme Members and professional connections in relation to SIPP and SSAS.
•To keep up to date with new products, technical or legislative changes within the market place.
•To develop professional connections in the professional introducer sector with a view to promoting and growing Pensions.
•To deal with initial Scheme establishment and with potential new clients to the point where Scheme documentation is passed to the Administration Team for registration.
•Continuous support and handling of complex aspects of all existing and potential new Schemes.
•To keep at the forefront of technical and Legislative changes for pensions, particularly relating to SIPP and SSAS.
•To provide Trustee duties to SIPP and SSAS.
•Supporting the Administration teams particularly on technical complex issues.
•Ensuring Schemes are run and transactions completed in accordance with current Legislation and within our internal compliance procedures.
•Checking Legal documentation, including Land Registry Transfers, Leases and bank facility letters.

The successful Pensions Consultant will have ability to analyse complex regulations and legislation governing pensions, particularly relating to SSAS and SIPP and detailed knowledge of the Firms and FCA (know your client) record keeping requirements.

It is essential that you have a good basic education and an approved qualification (i.e. Diploma - level 4; IFS/CII, etc).

Primarily based in York, however, the role may involve travelling to the client's home/business premises as you will be managing your own allocated clients with a view to maintaining and increasing this with new clients/business.
