HR Manager
A new vacancy has been created for an experienced HR Manager to work from a wholesale Head Office based east of York. You will be managing a team of three whilst also providing specialist HR advice and guidance to on site and remote managers within a successful and established business.

Contributing towards the provision of a comprehensive, efficient and effective high quality HR service to over 350 employees across several locations across the UK; this is a standalone role which reports into the HR Director and you will be the central reference point on all aspects of HR.

Key Responsibilities include:

•Developing and implementing HR Policies and procedures across the business
•Working with the HR Director, managers and the HR/Payroll Officer to ensure that policies are applied consistently and effectively across the Company
•Providing advice and guidance on HR policies and procedures together with good HR practice, supporting managers on the effective operation of formal processes including hearings
•Providing advice, guidance and support relating to recruitment and selection
•Working with the Board of Directors to identify an effective reward scheme and annual appraisal system
•Advising on job descriptions, job evaluation and the job grading schemes
•Participating in the development and delivery of training sessions in HR related subjects
•Coaching and educating managers in people management skills
•Undertaking appropriate training and staff developments as required and keep up to date with employment legislation
•Adhoc HR project identification including working on improving retention of people and skills; identifying talent across the business
•Analysing and identifying trends and proactively addressing issues of staff turnover, sickness or performance management.

The successful HR Manager will be CIPD qualified, have a strong history of managing others and influencing those around them who are not in their immediate team, good people management skills and training experience are essential.

A degree in psychology, business, management or law may also be beneficial as will previous experience in a manufacturing or an FMCG environment.
