Our Client, a high quality Insurer, is looking to recruit a Claims Handler to join its successful Claims department.
The successful candidate will work on their own portfolio of cases but as part of a team who delivers a high quality Claims service to household customers.

The role will include close communication with the Insured in order to assess the size, nature and circumstances of the claim, along with internal and external communication with Third Parties. The successful candidate will validate and negotiate the claims, then ensure the most suitable resolution and settlement is reached.

Key responsibilities of the Claims Handler role include:
- Taking claim notifications directly from customers and progress the claim in the most appropriate manner
- Handling all claims in a proactive manner and within set service levels
- Negotiating and settling claims fairly; with an emphasis on prompt resolution and ensuring the customer is kept informed
- Showing initiative in their claims handling approach

The successful applicant will have:
- Experience in handling claims (preferably Household claims)
- Good listening, communication and analytical skills
- The ability to work unsupervised and handle claims in a proactive yet highly customer focused manner
- The ability to make prompt, informed decisions and accurate judgements
- Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines
