Purpose of the role

Your role will be central to the company and its financial performance. You will bring efficiency and organisation to our team you will have responsibility for managing our finances, reporting and overseeing our profitability.

The company is growing and your role will help us to enhance our finance processes, systems and reporting that reflects our new, exciting strategy. Leading our financial performance management, you will use your analytical and organisational skills to manage the profitability of our client engagement and new proposals.

You will have experience that supports these responsibilities but most importantly, you'll be willing to lead from the front with new ideas and a can-do attitude, you won't be afraid to try new things and help us grow as a business.

Main duties of the role:

* General book-keeping duties and monthly management of the accounts

* Client and consultant profitability analysis; monthly analysis of projects against orders, work in progress/accrued income schedules for fixed price projects

* Management of purchase orders, purchase invoices, associate invoices and sales invoices
* Commission management for employees/associates
* Annual business planning supporting the CEO
* Recruitment management including sourcing candidates, interviews, offer letters, contracts, references
* Payroll management

* Company secretary; taking minutes/actions of board and management meetings, support the annual audit
* Sales and marketing; forecast/updates, review of client proposals
* Client commercial management; client commercial agreements, administer incoming client purchase orders, review and approval of non-disclosure agreements
* Profitability analysts; ensuring the profitability of proposals, analysing the ongoing work commitments and profitability
* Review and sign off consultants' timesheets and expenses
* Supplier Management; review and negotiation of supplier contracts/agreements

* Other;

* Dealing with tenants queries and leases for sub-let of offices
* IT equipment and annual Microsoft subscriptions (external third party provide IT support)
* Annual insurance renewals

Experience and qualifications

* A minimum of 5 years of working in a finance management capacity
* Previous experience of working within a small consultancy firm is desirable

* Experienced in general management with excellent communication skills
* Excellent computer skills (MS Office Suite especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
* Sage experience
