Hours: Monday - Friday (37.5 hours)

We are currently working with a leading charity organisation operating on a national scale, who are recruiting for a Human Resources Advisor to provide comprehensive, high quality human resources advice and support. Based in Burgess Hill, the Human Resources Advisor will need work with staff at all levels, including managers and directors and provide assistance with national projects.

The main duties will include, but are not limited to:

* Provide effective professional human resources advice, influence, information and support to Directors and Managers throughout the company

* To actively contribute to the development and provision of effective HR policies, procedures and practices that supports the strategic aims of the company
* Coach, support and challenge Managers in their application of HR policies, practice, employment law and good people management initiatives
* Contribute to effective change management solutions, ensuring consistent standards are maintained in line with relevant legislation
* To be proactive in providing Managers/Directors with up to date information, KPI's/knowledge across a range of HR topics
* To actively support Managers/Directors in employee relations casework (includes disciplinary, capability and performance management issues) on a day to day basis, attending formal and informal meetings as required. This can include assisting the HR Manager with Employment Tribunal cases if and when required
* Promote equal opportunities in accordance with company policy, employment legislation and best practice
* Undertake specific project pieces of work, as directed by the HR Manager which may include any reasonable travelling requirements in order to fulfil the tasks and responsibilities of the role

* The post holder will be expected, at all times, to be familiar and comply with the written policies, procedures and guidelines for good practice
* Ensure the Health & Safety policy and procedures are adhered to at all times
* Take personal responsibility for own health and safety and report incidents and potential hazards as necessary

Key skills required:

* Extensive experience and proven ability of working in an HR role
* Full understanding of HR policies, practices and relevant legislation
* Working confidentially and professionally at all times
* Dependable and accountable for your actions
* Excellent English both written and verbal
* A confident communicator with colleagues and associates of all levels
* Proactive approach to your work at all times to ensure adherence to changing legislation
* Hold a CIPD qualification
* Willing to travel where necessary to support project requirements
* Experience of working within a Charity Organisation would be advantageous
