HR Assistant

A temporary to permanent position has become available for an HR Assistant to join dedicated HR team. You will providing confidential Human Resource administration support to the team and staff across this charitable based organisation to enable colleagues to do their jobs effectively.

You role will include the following;

•Maintaining confidential HR records, recruitment and other information - both manually and on databases to ensure that appropriate and accurate records are kept for all employees/applicants.

•Administering the recruitment process, ensuring the recruitment of staff runs smoothly and in a professional manner, including: preparing and sending out job packs, responding to individual applications and specific and general queries and collating the appropriate equal opportunities statistics.

•Inputting information onto database records and extracting information.

•Providing timely and accurate management information on request/ providing regular updates.

•Assisting with the administration of team projects such as annual pay awards and staff surveys. Distributing internal information to staff.

•Recommending changes to HR processes to ensure effective use of time and resources.

•Acting as a screening/first point of contact for general enquiries.

•Producing standard letters and documentation as well as drafting letters/forms for team members to authorise.

•Arranging meetings for HR colleagues and the attendance of other colleagues at HR driven events.

For the successful HR Assistant, there are developmental opportunities which include supporting on casework and undertaking straightforward cases, e.g. absence, grievances and disciplinaries. You could also be providing advice and guidance to managers on the application of policy and procedures as well as dealing with straightforward HR queries.

You will also have previous experience of working within an HR department, have excellent organisational skill and have the ability to work to prioritise tasks and achieve deadlines.

Certificate in Personnel Practice CPP would be advantageous but not essential.

The successful HR Assistant will be available to start in this post on approx. the 2nd May 2107 and you will be temping for 3-6 months with an opportunity to become a permanent team member.
