I am recruiting for one of Safehands prestigious clients based in the Dursley area. This is a permanent full time vacancy for a Registered General Nurse . This is a nursing home specialising within Dementia, Multiple Sclerosis, Palliative Care, Heart Conditions, Parkinson's disease and Cognitive Impairments along with retirement care offering hotel style accommodation offering the highest standards of nursing and personal care. The staff provide the highest quality care and every resident is treated like a member of the extended family and individually important to the community. In return to the staff members this company is offering good levels of progression due to expansion plans for 2017 and a comprehensive training programme.
This incredible opportunity is a full time, permanent vacancy working 36 hours per week on a shift basis paying GBP18.50 per hour/ GBP35,000 pa

Responsibilities of Registered General Nurse :

* Working within a highly experienced and dedicated nursing team to ensure clinical practice is delivered to a high standard
* To participate in consultation with clients/ representatives in assessment/ planning/ implementation and evaluation of the care delivered
* Ensure all documentation complies with the requirements of Data Protection Act
* To maintain and improve own level of skill and competence
* To direct and participate in the assessment, planning and implementation of individual service users requirements for pre admission to transfer to other care services
* To communicate effectively to the clients, staff team and external professional agencies
* To demonstrate professional and clinical knowledge in practical situations
* To ensure all clinical procedures are completed according to policies and procedures
* To work within all professional codes of practice
* On a daily basis manage staff sickness levels and ensure staffing levels comply with CQC regulations
* Delegate and monitor workload of care assistants and other nurse colleagues as required to ensure the highest level of care is received by all clients
* To ensure care plans are updated and reviewed on a monthly basis and comply with company policies and procedures
* Participate in audits as designated by the Home Manager
* Demonstrate an awareness of Care Standards and Regulations that are enforced by CQC
* To support clients, family, friends and staff in making decisions to improving aspects of service that is delivered
* Administering prescribed medication and accurately recording inline with CQC regulations

Person Specification for Registered General Nurse :

* RGN / RMN currently registered with NMC
* Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Good time management skills
* Experience of working in an elderly care setting is advantageous
* Knowledge of regulatory framework relating to Care Homes
