Our client, a property management specialist based in Cambridge, is looking for a professional candidate with service charge experience to join their busy team.

The role is suitable for candidates who have service charge experience within estate or property management.

This role has the opportunity to offer studies in ACCA or CIMA following completion of probation. If you think this could be of interest then please read on!

Duties include:

Preparation of service charge and RMC accounts
Raising demands and preparing bank recconilliations for all phased and technical developments
Monitoring the cash flow for estates, identifying potential issues before they arise
Quarterly financial reporting for specific developments
Raising void charges
Building good relationships with developers and ensuring prompt payment of voids
Recharging of utilities to leaseholders
Distributing tasks amongst team members
Remittance of ground rent to freeholders
Inputting opening balances for new estates
Allocating completion cheques to leaseholder accounts
Budget reviews
Corporation tax administration
Providing handover information for lost estates
Dealing with handover of completed development to other service charge accounts teams
Training of staff on technical issues relating to phased / technical developments
Assisting the accounts team and other departments with day to day / adhoc duties

Skills & Experience Required

ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified (desirable)
Preparation of year-end service charge accounts
Experience of working within an Accounts Practice (desirable)
2+ years managerial/supervisory experience of a small team 2+ people
Experience of Qube or Tramps Property Management software (desirable) full training is offered for those with no experience
Excellent time management, prioritisation and diary management
Excellent team leadership skills - motivating colleagues with a can-do approach
Excellent numeracy/analytical skills and competency in dealing with financial information
Excellent communication skills - letter writing and the written and verbal presentation of information
Excellent computer skills - Proficient in all Microsoft programmes, particularly Excel, and competent in mail merging.
Excellent Team Working - Ability to build working relationships with employees across the organisation.
