Urgent Business Development Manager needed

Location- Bracknell
Term- Full time
Duration- Temp until Jan 2018
Shift pattern- Monday to Friday
Salary- GBP24 to GBP30 per hour depending on payment method

The Business Development Manager holds an important role in the delivery of our clients` growth and commercial strategy, requiring a self-motivated individual who has proven expertise in the preparation of high quality business cases and tenders, and excellent presentation and personal relationship skills. The Business Development Manager will need to work influentially across the sites to prepare compelling investment case submissions to our commissioners, tenders and grant applications, writing fluently and accessibly in our brand style, tailored for the target audience. The post-holder will also be responsible for scanning our market environment for business opportunities, keeping abreast of national and local policy. The Business Development Manager will maintain databases of key market data, creating market reports to support strategic and business decisions.

The Business Development Manager will have primary responsibility for:

- Preparing, writing and submitting high quality winning bid, grant and investment case submissions within agreed timescales

- Ensuring bid, grant and investment case activity follows agreed systems and governance processes

- Providing expert knowledge and advice on tender processes

- Maintaining an overview of expected and actual tender, grant and investment case activity

- Planning for and actively managing individual bids, grants and investments cases, including involvement of key stakeholders to develop appropriate service and financial models

- Horizon scanning to identify key national and local policies, and changes to our clients` markets, preparing and circulating briefings for key decision makers

- Maintaining databases of our main competitors in its business markets

- Preparing succinct and accessible reports to support ourBusiness Group, Executive and Board in making informed decisions about business and strategic opportunities

The Business Development Manager will work closely with the Head of Strategic Development, and with colleagues in operations, finance, performance, contracting and other Trust areas in the development and submission of winning bids, grant applications and investment cases. The post-holder will also be a key specialist resource to operations and the Senior Leadership Team, providing market information, research and reports.

The role is a Business Development Manager but we particularly need Bid Manager experience.

Essential:
-Educated to degree level or equivalent level of experience.
-Additional extensive post graduate experience achieved through further study or practical experience in the areas of bid management and project management
-Can evidence recent and ongoing professional development
-Can demonstrate evidence of writing compelling narrative, succinctly and accessibly presented
-Experience of a leadership role in coordinating, delivering and winning bids and grants

Desirable:
-Has current and broad knowledge of the whole NHS context
-Has specific in-depth knowledge of the national agenda and the impact on NHS providers
