Trainee IFA, 35K, Guildford

Your new company
Our client is a well-respected, Surrey based IFA firm which specialises in giving whole of market financial advice on investments, pensions, protection & inheritance tax planning to its customers. Business has steadily increased over the past 2 years at the firm, with the company now in the market to hire an ambitious Trainee IFA.

Your new role
For the first 12 months, the Trainee IFA will be shadowing and supporting the Company Director and Associate Director, attending meetings and working in a Paraplanner capacity (duties including product research, suitability reports and conducting cash flow modelling sessions for clients). This will give the suitable candidate the opportunity to learn the business processes, company systems and service proposition whilst experiencing first-hand the role of a Financial Planner. After approximately 12 months and once 'Competent', the business will then look to help the successful applicant build a bank of clients with which they will build a strong working relationship and deliver a first class ongoing service. Duties will then include meeting new and existing clients to conduct an assessment of their assets/liabilities and circumstances, producing clear and concise financial assessments and working closely with assigned administration staff.

What you'll need to succeed
Candidates need to be Level 4/Diploma Qualified and have at least 12 months' Paraplanning experience. Applicants must be ambitious and energetic with a strong desire to become a successful IFA.

What you'll get in return
A base salary of GBP35,000 plus a company bonus, pension scheme and other attractive benefits. A lucrative client bank and commission structure will be in place after 12 months once CAS status is achieved.
