This job is for a leading tier 1 bank based in Northampton. This job opportunity would be suitable for Lead Java Architect looking for a major step up in a banking organisation in Northampton. This well renowned bank in Northampton requires a Lead Java Architect who will be responsible for providing the digital architecture, roadmaps and technical solutions as well as technical consultancy.

As a Lead Java Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Creating digital technology architecture solutions and cost estimates
  • Ensure the digital engineering and development teams are in line with the technical strategy, architecture, quality standards and policies.
  • Stakeholder management and leadership
  • Be able to challenge stakeholders creatively and professionally to create architectural solutions which meet the business needs
  • Be able to describe existing and emerging digital technology and technology strategy to developers, non-technical stakeholders
  • Experienced in supervising a team, managing performance on an on-going basis

It is essential that you have:

  • Strong experience with Java, Javascript in an agile environment
  • Strong experience of application client and server architecture in the web or mobile
  • Experience of presenting technical concepts to a non-technical audience and senior CXO stakeholders
  • Experience of operating in an agile environment
  • Experience of DevOps and containerization
