KS1 Teacher in Primary school in Kensington

Situated in Kensington is a well-established Primary school searching for an ambitious and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher. The position will begin in September 2017. The KS1 Teacher appointed will be offered ample CPD opportunities including the possibility of leading a subject or year group. The Primary school is three-form entry and was graded 'Good' by OFSTED with 'Outstanding' for leadership and management.

Expectations of the Year 1 Teacher

The Primary school are looking for a dedicated and talented Year 1 Teacher who has innovative, forward thinking teaching style. The school is commended for achieving academic excellence and the teacher appointed will use their expertise to reach and hopefully exceed the exam results currently achieved. The Year 1 Teacher will be expected to ensure that all children are engaged and enthusiastic about their learning. You will be expected to inspire the children alongside managing their behaviour in and out of the classroom.

Responsibilities of the Year 1 Teacher

As a Year 1 Teacher you will be teaching a vibrant, energetic group of children. Your responsibilities in this role will include keeping your lessons current and relevant, providing a forward-thinking and engaging learning environment. You will have a teaching assistant working alongside you, with their time spent exclusively with your classroom. The teacher appointed will be expected to implement and maintain consistent behaviour management strategies.
