Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENO) - Salary (Dependent on experience) -Secondary Phase SEN School - Newham, South-East London - ASAP start!

Are you an experienced SENCO looking for a new challenge within a SEN School and can easily commute to Newham?

Or are you a very experienced SEN Teacher eager to take the next step in your career and are looking for a SENCO position?

Do you have a passion to enhance the learning of SEN students both socially and academically?

If you answered yes to the above questions, we want to hear from you! SENCO's must:

***Hold a QTS and SENCO qualification
***Have 3+ years' experience within either a SEN school or have worked in a PRU and has successful previous leadership experience within the SEN provision of education
***Be available full-time from May 2017

The Position - SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)

The successful candidate will have a SENCO qualification or be near completion for this qualification, as well as recent experience working within the SEN provision of education. Previous experience working within a SEN School with students of all different ages and abilities is highly sought after however you must have experience working with collaboratively with multi-agencies as this essential to the role. This role of a SENCO will require the candidate to be calm, compassionate, caring with a drive to support and assist students with Special Educational Needs. You will also need the appropriate skills and qualities to show inspirational leadership, great organisational and interpersonal skills to lead your team effectively. In this role of the SENCO you would be required to teach a class once a week, as well as being able to model good practice and will be required to support the SEN pupils in outside activities including interventions.

Secondary SEN school provides an amazing form of education to students with needs such as PMLD, BESD, ADHA and ASD it caters for children at all levels of learning and across a range of complex needs. This School is highly committed to their students and assisting them with overcoming challenges to develop both academically and socially. This outstanding SEN School has beautiful grounds as well as highly qualified and experienced staff. Furthermore, they offer both on and off the job SEN training to all members of staff involved, in order to help staff, develop the appropriate skills and knowledge.
