Overview:

Job Title: Part-time Support Worker

Wage / Salary: GBP11.00 gross per hour weekdays | GBP13.00 gross per hour weekends
Driver required? Yes, essential
Use of a car? Yes, on duty only
Essential Experience: A real passion for supporting children with SEN / Additional Needs
Start Date: ASAP
Days and Hours: On average 20 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, between 1.30pm - 5.30pm (3-6 hours) based on a rota, will have notice of upcoming hours.

If you are energetic, bubbly and passionate about supporting and enabling children with SEN / Additional Needs, we want to hear from you! We have a wonderful opportunity available to support a happy, cheerful and engaging little lady with a great sense of humour. Molly 9, has cerebral palsy, is wheelchair dependent, has epilepsy, is fed and medicated via gastrostomy and requires assistance with each daily task. Molly loves to makes lots of noise, she uses AAC to support her communication and can make her needs known, rest assured Molly knows her own mind and will certainly let you know her likes and dislikes!

If you love to sing Molly wants to hear from you, she just adores music of all different genres from Frozen to Madonna! Trips to the park, adventure, trampolining, swimming, going on the swings and last but not least laughing, these are just a few things you can enjoy with Molly. Mum and Dad are started to implement a new therapy programme at home called Neuroplasticity therapies, Molly will be home schooled and you will have the opportunity to learn new skills, techniques, work with multi-disciplinary teams and most importantly be part of a programme that will enable Molly to grow and learn about the wonderful world around her. As you can imagine this is a very exciting time for Molly and her family, so we are looking for candidate who as just as excited, ready to hit the ground running and have an eagerness to learn!

As mentioned Molly has a small but busy team working with her, you will be confident working alongside Mum, Dad or other team members. Excellent communication skills, working on your own initiative and being proactive are essential requirements for this role. The family are in the process of adapting their new home (15 mins drive from current home) and hope to be settled in the next 12 months.
