Business Development Manager

My client is an international award winning Payment Service Provider. They are the biggest and leading innovator of solutions for fraud and risk management for banks and retailers/merchants/online business in particular.

Their SaaS based service enables merchants to get up and running quickly and realise instant results. They provide a super payment gateway as well as a turnkey fraud solution that is popular with the big names in retail. Their technology is easy to implement and use and has reviewed hundreds of millions of transactions and provides maximum protection for some of the world's well-known brands.

They are looking to grow their UK Business Development team and need a tenacious candidate to expand their network of resellers and referral partners, as well as direct sales.

Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Digital goods & subscription payment companies
  • Targeting resellers, white label gateways, referral partners, acquiring banks
  • Collect gateway/PSP/e-money
  • Establishing partnerships where merchants are aggregated

Direct sales:

  • Pursuing current US clients who also do business in the UK/EU
  • Issue new bank client lists
  • Large digital merchants
  • Subscription merchants
  • Attend events to identify and source new business opportunities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent sales training in place of degree
  • 5+ years of business development, sales or related experience
  • Strong knowledge of the UK payments market
  • Highly-motivated sales individual with good closing abilities
  • Personable with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with contract negotiation
  • Proficient with relationship management
  • Willingness to travel
