A Business Analyst (Energy Industry) is required to join an exciting, expanding utilities company in Hertfordshire on a permanent basis. The successful candidate must have experience in the Energy industry working as a Business Analyst and must possess excellent stakeholder management skills to understand the business in order to help streamline processes and iron out deficiencies as the company continues to grow.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 3 YEARS' EXPERIENCE WORKING AS A BUSINESS ANALYST
  • Must have at least 1 years' experience working in the UK Utilities industry
  • Must have excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to challenge various stakeholders whilst remaining non-confrontational
  • Previous experience facilitating workshops and controlling small teams of people to capture Business Requirements
  • Excellent process mapping skills and requirements documentation skills

DESIRABLE SKILLS

  • Understanding of project management methodologies eg Prince2, Waterfall, Agile
  • Motivated Business Analyst, passionate about the Energy industry
  • Flexibility to work and adapt to a fast-paced and high pressured environment

Day to day role:

As a Business Analyst (Energy Industry) you will be assigned a wide range of projects on a daily basis. Once assigned a project, you will be assigned project priorities for its completion as well as reviewing existing documentation, frequently developing technical documentation, capturing business requirements, facilitating workshops, engaging various senior stakeholders, as well as hastily addressing any potential problems. Successful candidates will have the ability to challenge existing processes in order to improve them and must be able to deal with many tasks at one given time, working independently in a fast-paced environment. A decisive Business Analyst (Energy Industry) who can manage their own mini projects is definitely what is needed - rather than a BA who needs to refer everything back to a PM for decisions to be made.
