- Are you able to build and maintain a culture of continuous delivery and improvement, ensuring that key systems are regularly analysed, maintained and improved, building a performance culture orientated to tangible delivery outcomes and rewarding these appropriately?
- Do you have extensive experience of wide range of digital suppliers including SMEs, and of innovative approaches to sourcing services?

HM Courts and Tribunals Service is an executive agency of the Ministry of Justice, it is responsible for the administration of the criminal, civil and family courts and tribunals in England and Wales and non-devolved tribunals in Scotland and Northern Ireland. Supporting a fair, efficient and effective justice system delivered by an independent judiciary, it is a sizeable and diverse organisation with approximately 15,000 staff operating from 500 locations. It manages a gross annual budget of £1.7bn and handles over 2 million criminal cases, 1.8 million civil claims, more than 150,000 family law disputes and almost 800,000 tribunal cases annually.

Committed to the improvement of technology, skills and capabilities in every aspect of its operation, digital transformation is at the heart of planned changes for courts and tribunals and this role will be at the forefront of activity.
The Head of Digital Architecture will be responsible for leading our digital architecture function and delivering world class services that put HMCTS on a modern footing. This will be achieved through the delivery of the back-end mission IT technology that supports the department’s front line digital services.
