This is an exciting new position within a successful and long-standing charity. It is an opportunity to make a contribution to a worthwhile cause whilst receiving an appropriate remuneration package.

The role would be suited to a person with experience of project management and marketing who is now seeking a support role within a charity. It would also suit a good senior level administrator or secretary who wants to expand their range of skills and responsibilities within an ethical environment.

Working as part of the Business Development team as the Business Development Project Coordinator you will support the growth of the charity by driving projects that raise awareness of its home care services. You will also manage the recruitment marketing process for new care staff. This coordination role will be focussed on Triangle Community Services and you will work closely with another coordinator who focusses on Friends of the Elderly.

Friends of the Elderly, founded 1905, is one of the UK's oldest charities supporting older people.

The salary is GBP24,000 pa. In addition there is a company pension and child care vouchers would apply. Working hours are 35 per week with the possibility of working flexibly. The role is intially for a one year contract with the possibility of an extension after 12 months.

The role includes the following specific tasks:

  • To support Triangle Community Services business development, marketing and recruitment activities
  • Development of and support with central and local marketing plans and activities to sell the home care services. This includes building relationships with local managers in order to effectively promote services through online marketing, print advertising and stakeholder engagement
  • Managing Triangle Community Service's recruitment process including our online job boards and recruitment inbox, with support from an administrator
  • Research into local event opportunities and listing opportunities for both recruitment and marketing
  • Event attendance and management including at national events, such as the over 50s show and small local community engagement events
  • Support with process development and updates of central and local project, marketing and work plans
  • To manage recruitment and service marketing monthly reporting
  • Processing invoices, maintenance of the shared drive and proofing of copy
In addition to the above it is expected that the successful applicant will have good IT skills covering PowerPoint, Excel and Word, and be willing to work independently as well as part of a dynamic team.
