Head of Human Resources - Uxbridge

Salary: Up to 65K, DOE

Based in Uxbridge with some national travel.

Our client is a well-established national independent Residential Care Homes group for the elderly employing circa 1500 employees. Their Head office is located in Uxbridge where the role will be predominantly based. National travel will be expected to support our Care Homes as and when required.
Our client is looking for an experienced Head of HR reporting into the Chief Operating Officer to lead and develop an HR team of 3 professionals (HRBP, HR Administrator, Recruitment Administrator) and drive the HR agenda for the Group.

Role requirements

The ideal candidate will be experienced in getting buy-in and trust from senior stakeholders across a variety of departments in a position where they are the HR lead for the company. Strategic and hands-on operational experience is therefore required, ideally within the care sector. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience operating across multi-sites, coaching managers in the day to day application of HR processes and managerial best practice.
A strong generalist background is required for this role encompassing primarily policies and procedures, employee relations and employment tribunal claims, recruitment, training, employee engagement strategies and performance management.
As an initial focus for this role, the development and implementation of robust, business focussed HR policies and procedures will be required.

Develop and deliver HR Strategy and Roadmap in line with business plans
Provision of expert advice and guidance to line management on all areas of HR ensuring compliance with company policies and legislation.
Proven track record of successfully designing and rolling out processes, policies and procedures
Design and delivery of the overall company HR plan including change agenda
Excellent and effective performance management, training and development programmes delivery to improve overall business performance
Development and implementation of a comprehensive resourcing programme for appropriate people and positions, including succession planning.
Develop and implement strategies for engagement of employees and cultural development.
Manage and report on HR Metrics and People KPIs to measure the quality and efficiency of a range of measures to ensure stability, performance and employee satisfaction.
A can do attitude with a clear focus on reaching targets
Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels
Managing and ensuring professional excellence and delivery from the whole HR team
Care Sector experience highly desirable
TUPE experience highly desirable
Ideally at MCIPD level
