An amazing opportunity has arisen within a lovely Residential home in the Kings Lynn area of Norfolk. The home is part of an excellent and leading care provider with homes throughout the South east. This particular home is medium sized and beautifully appointed with some stunning features and a homely atmosphere. The home is set in lovely grounds and provides a lovely working environment. The home offers residential and dementia care to it's residents and forms a key part of the local community.

I am looking for an experienced Home Manager with a wealth of knowledge who has previously managed a home in a similar setting. You should be a natural leader and business acumen to run and market the home. I am looking for a Home Manager who can hit the ground running, maintaining and ensuring continuous improvements within the home.

Key Responsibilities of the Home Manager:
Overall Responsibility of the home
Provide training and inductions for new staff
Recruitment
Marketing the home
Achieving targets
Care plans & Audits
Reports and Risk assessments
Budgets

The successful Home Manager candidate should;
• Live within 10 to 15 miles of the home and be a licensed driver with a car.
• Have significant and proven care home management experience in the residential or nursing care home environment with at least three to four years as a home manager. (This does not include prior experience in Domiciliary Care management)
• Have a good working knowledge of CQC; Health and Safety (as it applies in care homes); safeguarding and adult protection; working with local authorities. HR and recruitment issues; understanding of the business side of the industry, including marketing and budgeting and a clear appreciation of the effect of agency usage.
• Be able to work in concert with District Nurses, Tissue Viability Nurses, Community Psychiatric Nurses and other external healthcare professionals.
• Be competent in managing hotel services e.g. Catering, Housekeeping and Maintenance, including grounds maintenance.
• Be an effective delegator.
• Understand and manage (i.e. delegate where appropriate) the process of auditing and monitoring.
• Be customer service focussed.
• Be prepared to make unannounced visits to the home during out-of-business hours and occasional weekends.

Key Skills & Qualifications:
NVQ Level 5 or equivalent preferably
Proven track record of managing care homes
Strong Dementia/ elderly care knowledge
Excellent Management & Leadership Skills
Great Communication & Organisational Skills
Professional, Confident and dynamic
