The Role

Robert Half Finance & Accountancy are delighted to be exclusively partnering our client, a successful growing SME Green Energy business based in central Watford, on the recruitment of an exciting newly created Financial Controller role. This is a hands on Financial Controller role with full responsibility for all of the monthy financials, managing a small finance team and working with non-finance stakeholders. This is a very varied Financial Controller role responsible for all elements of the accounting, a high level of responsibility, for example managing the:

-Monthly Management Accounting

-Analysis and Management Reporting

-Budgeting & Forecasting

-Cash Flow management

-Development of KPI Reporting and Dash Boards

-Management of all costs

-Headcount, contractors and project costs

-Project Tracking, coding of all project cost codes


-Streamlining processes, ensuring controls are robust and that processes are followed

-Ad-hoc analysis and projects

Your Profile

We are looking for a fully qualified accountant who is looking for their first Financial Controller position or an experienced SME Financial Controller.The ideal candidate who have some experience of construction projects, project tracking, CIS & PAYE and VAT in the construction sector, this is not essential. This is a hands-on and varied role so you must be prepared to get involved at all levels.

Salary & Benefits

A highly competitive base salary of around GBP50-55k plus benefits.
