HR Business Partner

GBP60,000-GBP70,000 plus bonus and car

Our client is a leading manufacturer of large industrial products and precision-engineered solutions for sectors including oil & gas, defence and renewable energy. The Plc Group employs circa 250 people across 7 UK manufacturing sites plus a further 4 facilities in the US, Canada and Europe.

The group which is headquartered in the UK, has expanded rapidly both organically and through acquisition. The Acquisitions have been primarily family owned businesses with strong entrepreneurial leads and the group has had a culture of encouraging that entrepreneurship post acquisition. However the group size and ambition now requires these distinct businesses also operate with a shared vision, policies, procedures and an agile culture - all of which will facilitate the group's clear growth aspirations.

Critical to this growth is the recruitment of a Group HR Business Partner to lead the establishment of a more formalised HR function to provide support to the CEO and the individual MDs. As part of the SMT, the role will imprint best practice, process and initiatives across the organisation with a broad, generalist HR remit. Structure and process require focus, with key fundamentals needing to be embedded. Thus the real premium is on bringing the team together, improving, empowering and supporting the frontline management. The role will also provide overarching leadership within each of the sites ensuring best practice for policy, procedure and process.

This is a key strategic role and candidates will need significant HR experience within a dynamic manufacturing environment that has high growth expectations and will understand the complexity of dealing with a large, diverse workforce across multiple sites and disciplines. The Group is undergoing significant change, so an appreciation of this type of evolution will also have clear benefit. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR generalist to be given the autonomy to shape an HR function from scratch with full support from the Divisional MDs and the CEO who they will report to.
