Forward role are proud to be working with an award winning digital agency based in Manchester city centre who are looking for a Digital Strategist to add to their growing team. This successful digital agency has an exciting client base which includes a number of market leading brands across retail, ecommerce and leisure. With their ambitious development strategy they are looking for someone with a passion for data and insights with a great understanding of customer journeys.

As Digital Strategist you will be comfortable with Google Analytics and will enjoy getting to grips with really understanding a client's customers. An understanding of how different channels work together, ideally across a mix of sectors, including B2C ecommerce is important as is a solid knowledge of search, including SEO, PPC and social media.

Within the role you will liase with clients daily and coordinate strategy across the agency to ensure clients objectives are met. Working with a varied client base you'll help develop, present and undertake digital strategy all with the aim of driving web performance. The Digital Strategist will also have responsibility for working on documentation including proposals, project plans and briefs ensuring that they are easy to understand for a client.

This role would suit a number of different backgrounds, for e.g you may currently be a Digital Planner, a Search specialist, Ecommerce Manager or an Account Manager who has a solid understanding on insight and analysis.


- Reporting into the Head of Strategy, you'll help to develop and execute digital strategy across a variety of clients
- Using Google Analytics daily to identify how client's campaigns are performing in line with objectives
- Work closely with Client Services team to help identify any opportunities to introduce new channels
- You'll communicate with clients regularly over the phone and face to face


- A passion for data analysis and problem solving
- Good understanding of Google Analytics is essential (plus other platforms such as AdWords, Facebook Business Manager, SearchMetrics etc are a bonus)
- Exceptional analytical ability
- Up to date knowledge of trends in digital marketing
- Great understanding of the marketing funnel and paths to conversion
- A good commercial awareness and understanding of a client's goals long term
- The ability to manage both time and resources to meet project deadlines
