They are urgently seeking a Finance Director to become a key and integral part of their Senior Management Team to support heavily in the overall management of the company. This opportunity has arisen due to an internal promotion.

Reporting into the COO you will be involved in the following:

-Strategic responsibility for all financial management, reporting and control
-Business planning and controlling all financial-related activities of the company
-Developing HR, IT and legal functions
-Financial analysis and projections to support the COO in developing the company's strategic goals
-Oversee budgetary planning and cost management
-Developing new business opportunities and presenting ideas around cost effectiveness
-Provide recommendations on how to strategically enhance the company's performance
-Direct and oversee cash flow planning
-Ensure that effective internal controls are in place
-Manage the preparation of month -end and year-end financial statements
-Leadership and development of a small finance team
-Manage and develop the IT and Communications systems
-Take a lead role in developing the Company's HR systems including reviewing pension scheme matters

You will be a qualified accountant with previous experience operating at a senior level within an ideally small to medium sized business. You must be hands on as well as commercially and strategically minded. Our client is not looking for someone who is not afraid to really roll their sleeves up and get into the detail of the numbers alongside the junior members of the Finance team.

Experience working within a manufacturing or distribution company would be ideal alongside strong leadership skills.

Strong IT skills are essential due to some development needed in this area.
