A position has arisen for a Service Manager, to manage a residential service in Leeds for adults with learning disabilities, autism, complex health needs and challenging behaviour. This is a fantastic opportunity, for a caring and professional individual, with experience of managing a service for adults with learning disabilities, to lead and add value to a team of support staff and provide an excellent standard of care to service users.

As a service manager, you will manage your team to support service users in your care to achieve their goals in life and will actively seek out opportunities for them to develop their skills and confidence through a variety of staff involvement, activities and other initiatives.

The service users have mixed abilities and are individually supported to attend college, supported employment and other activities

As s successful candidate, you will be responsible for delivering best practice in social care whilst continually developing the service. You will have the opportunity to use your skills in an environment where the effective management of people and processes will be critical to the services success.


Ideally have NVQ Level 4 or 5 in Health and Social Care or working towards it.

Ensure residents receive support using Person Centred approaches and to understand and share in the values of the organisation.

Be able to lead practice within staff teams and manage the resources of the service to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.Ensure the best outcomes for the people they support.

You will be assisted by a deputy manager who report to you and are responsible for the day to day running of parts of the service as there will be a large staff team.

You will need to be a "hands on" manager and a team player yet would have lots of autonomy to manage the service with the support of the clinical services manager and other head office departments

Quality Assurance: Promoting a vision of quality and continuous improvement. Reviewing monitoring and evaluating quality.

Organising and Planning : Developing viable plans and organising staff and other resources to deliver within time frames.

Resource Management :Managing and controlling resources to meet demands and changing priorities, ensuring financial viability
