We have an excellent opportunity to join an industry leading Aerospace Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul company who are looking for Skilled Electroplaters to work in their Process Plant to assist in the reconditioning of Aircraft Landing Gear and relating components.

Key Performance Measures:

+ Ensure all production flow is kept to an optimum level meeting delivery dates and T.A.T
+ Embrace and actively improve LEAN processes
+ Ensure all KPI targets for the department are met and adhered too

Key Responsibilities:
+ Proven ability to understand and interpret process standard practices, drawings and overhaul manuals
+ Ability to undertake Material Handling to include Slings and Jigs
+ The Electroplater will carry out surface preparation by Grit Blasting techniques
+ The Electroplater will undertake component stripping, surface preparation, masking and electro plating of components requiring Cadmium plating, Hard Chromium plating and Nickel plating
+ Carry out Anodizing, Phosphating and Dalic Cadmium plating of components
+ Ability to undertake Alocrom and Phosphate processes
+ Ability to undertake controls and records of components undertaking Heat Treatments
+ Ability to complete work in a manner that satisfies Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
+ Ability to undertake surface stress relieving by Shot Peen and Roto Peening techniques
+ The Electroplater will undertake Nital Etch Inspection processes
+ An awareness and understanding of responsibilities outlined in the Company`s environmental procedures.
+ Responsible for actions related to the COMAH emergency plan and any other requirements necessary to comply with the successful implementation of the COMAH plan
+ You will be required to maintain Practical Experience Record (PER) book.
+ You may be required to train personnel with a specified area subject to your qualifications and experience
+ All duties shall be undertaken in compliance with Safety and Environmental Regulations and Company Procedures In addition to the duties and responsibilities outlined above you will be expected to carry out any other reasonable activities as required by your line Manager

Knowledge and Experience:
+ To have worked within a Plating shop environment
+ Have a basic understanding of Boeing SOPM
+ Experience of working in a JAA 145 environment

+ A strong team player
+ Able to communicate with all levels of Management
+ Willingness to learn new skills to help the Company achieve its targets
