Secondary PGCE - North West London - Paid Route into Teaching

We are looking for graduates with the drive and determination to become Qualified Teachers through out paid, two year Secondary PGCE, Premier Pathways. The course is a school based programme and there are no tuition fees!

• 2-year school-based Secondary PGCE
• Gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE from the University of Buckingham
• Blended learning programme from the nation's leading ITE providers

The Secondary PGCE and training will be provided by the University of Buckingham. The 2-year training programme is split across 3 phases resulting in QTS and a PGCE:

As a Graduate Trainee Teacher starting the Secondary PGCE at this school your role will include supporting the class. You will be working in differing situations to build up your portfolio of skills and expertise.

During the final term of year 1, the Trainee Teacher will be given a 50% timetable. This will introduce you to planning lessons and marking books at a pace that is manageable. You will have the opportunity to observe other lessons at the school to enhance your own, taking ideas and improving your lessons in a self-reflective manner.

The final and second year of Secondary PGCE sees you take an 80% timetable at the school. You will be supported by an academic mentor at the school and given three University Training sessions at the University of Buckingham. The training is residential and you will have the accommodation paid for you!

To train on the Premier Pathways, Secondary PGCE, all applicants must meet the following criteria:

•Be a graduate or current student graduating in 2017
•Have a 2:1 or above in their degree or predicted grades
•GCSE 'C' grades in Maths and English
•Can demonstrate their desire to enter Education
