Section Manager - 14 -16 Learners - College of North West London
The College of North West London is committed to providing a high quality of teaching and learning. We have a vibrant and growing cohort of 14 to 16 year old students most of whom attend vocational courses one or two days a week. This is complimented by a full time vocational taster programme and infill programmes.
You will be involved in coordinating and managing the programmes across the college, including the management of attendance, quality and resources; line management of teaching and support staff; and developing the curriculum. There is considerable liaison with schools, the local authority, parents and other stakeholders. In addition you will be responsible for promoting and monitoring the safeguarding and discipline of young learners.
You will have a passion for educating young people as well as excellent management, planning and leadership skills. You must have good communication, IT and numeracy skills, be prepared to work flexibly, have the ability to use your own initiative and work with a minimum of direct supervision. Most importantly you must be able to inspire and motivate young people.
This position offers 40 days paid annual leave per year plus public holidays, Occupational pension plan and support with your further education and career development.
