An exciting opportunity has arisen with West Suffolk Councils. We are currently looking for an Income Recovery Officer to come and join our team based in Bury St Edmunds. You will join us on a part time, permanent basis working up to 25 hours a week and will receive a competitive starting salary of GBP20, 138 per annum plus benefits.

What you'll be doing as our Income Recovery Officer

Your duties will include dealing with members of the public, assessing and arranging loans and grants to assist those in Housing Need. You will have experience of debt recovery and be experienced in account management. This will include setting affordable and sustainable payment plans or referring customers to third parties who can offer independent help. You will also liaise with and advise statutory and voluntary agencies where necessary.

What we're looking for in our Income Recovery Officer

You must have experience of working with the general public, be a team player with well developed communication and written skills, and be able to understand and implement housing law and policies. Knowledge of housing options is desirable.
