We are working with a private training provider in the Cheshire area who are looking for a Welding Technical Trainer to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a position at a longstanding and reputable training provider, and the role is a permanent full-time role, comprising of 36 hours per week (Monday to Thursday: 8.45am - 5.00 pm; Friday: 8.45am - 4.45pm).

We are looking for a technical trainer/assessor with experience of food and drink processing engineering. Specifically, we are seeking someone who has the ability to weld in a variety of materials, but mainly TIG welding stainless steel sheet and tube. The core responsibility of the role is delivering training and assessment to food and drink processing industry apprentices and adults in TIG welding skills.

The starting salary for this position is circa GBP32,000 per annum, which would increase to GBP34,000 after the successful probationary period of 6 months. The package also includes a pension, private medical insurance and a health cash plan, business mileage expenses, and 25 days paid holiday (plus statutory holidays such as Bank Holidays).

To be eligible for the position, you MUST have:
-A Welding/Engineering qualification or Welding codings
-Good industry experience of Welding
-An assessor award OR teaching qualification

In addition, skills in supporting the following disciplines would also be advantageous, but not essential:
-Mechanical Maintenance
-Hydraulics/Pneumatics
-Fitting & Assembly
