What will the role involve?

In this role you will coach and mentor customers to bring them closer to the job market. Utilising your experience and knowledge, you will offer advice, guidance and direction to your customers.

Some of the main accountabilities will include:

• Manage a caseload of pre-work customers and ensure that these customers secure sustainable employment to meet job outcome and sustainment targets.
• Keep customers engaged and empowered in order to enable them to secure sustainable employment by carefully planning activity to meet their individual needs.
• Motivate customers by setting realistic and achievable targets around job search and their development of employability skills.
• Carry out regular assessments of customers to enable tailored support to be offered.
• Manage and review your caseload, planning future pipelines of activity to ensure service provision is fully utilised.
• Signpost customers to other appropriate provisions and external agencies
• Achieve agreed individual and team targets in relation to starts, attendance, retention, appropriate and timely achievement, client progression and sustained job outcomes.
• Match customers to suitable employment and progression opportunities and encourage them to fully engage in the attainment of sustainable employment.
• Deliver tailored delivery programmes to groups of customers to help them progress.
• Manage job search group sessions and CV workshops based around employer demand
• Liaise with referral bodies and other departments to assist in monitoring and processing of customer details and information.
• Attend and assist in out of office hours marketing events as appropriate.
• Contribute to the sharing of good practice and support continuous improvement.
• Work with your wider team to share best practice and understand local market requirements.
• Participate directly or indirectly in marketing the Company's services to employers, colleges and training providers.
• Actively contribute to maintenance of a professional and welcoming environment
• Promote a positive image of the Company and all of the services it delivers and comply with our PREVENT duty.

What skills, experience, and qualifications are we looking for?

To succeed in this role you'll need experience working in a coaching, information, advice and guidance capacity. This experience will need to be supported by a Level 3 IAG qualification. You'll also have to demonstrate your abilities in running creative workshops, particularly those around job search, employability skills, career development and confidence building.
