What will the role involve?

These roles will support our Skills Support for the Workforce contract across Devon. With significant travel required, you will work closely with both employers and learners. Meeting company and awarding body requirements, you will manage your caseload of learners, advising and guiding them through their Level 2 Diplomas.

Some of the main accountabilities will include:

• Supporting learners through their chosen qualification - health and social care, business administration, team leadership, or customer service
• Providing learners with impartial information, advice and guidance to help them make informed decisions and achieve their career goals
• Observe and assess learners in the workplace, providing feedback and guidance to ensure learning standards are met and qualifications are attained within agreed timescales
• Assessing the learners' portfolio of evidence and signing off the award when necessary achievements have been met
• Ensuring learner progression is recorded to agreed levels
• Keeping accurate learner records and ensuring audit and compliance processes are met
• To travel and deliver across employer and locations.
• Fully comply with all aspects of the Prevent Duty and promote British values in all that we do.

What skills, experience, and qualifications are we looking for?

• Experience and a minimum Level 3 qualification from the relevant sector
• A PTLLS or equivalent teaching qualification
• A TAQA or A1 assessor award
• Maths and English qualifications at Level 2 or above
• IT competence, specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the Internet
• An understanding of the current education and adult training market
• Have access to your own vehicle and be willing to travel for the role.
