Service Manager - up to GBP48K - Colchester, Essex

A Service Manager vacancy has arisen at my client's private hospital just outside of Colchester. This facility provides nursing care for a small number of working age adults with complex learning disabilities, mental health issues and challenging behaviours.

My client is a national healthcare provider, supporting adults who suffer with learning disabilities, mental health conditions arising from learning disability and those who exhibit challenging behaviours. Working in close partnership with service users' families and wider healthcare providers, my client has cemented themselves as a second to none provider in its field.

In this role, you will carry sole responsibility and accountability for managing the service. Through effective leadership, you will align your own and junior nurses/HCSWs' practices to the objectives of the company, as well as ensuring high quality nursing service is provided at all times to service users. You will be expected to manage recruitment, disciplinary procedures and wider HR issues within the team, oversee training of all staff and play an active role in CPD. Other responsibilities cover areas such as medication management, the management of patient flow, financial/budgetary activities and quality compliance.

Requirements

* You must be a Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD/RNMH) in the UK
* You must have an active and clear NMC pin number
* You must have at least 5 years' experience in directly supervising healthcare staff within a learning disability service
* You must have in depth knowledge and experience of SoVA, CQC regulations, compliance and quality management, as well as relevant healthcare legislation
