THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You're the ideal Safety and Environment Specialist if you have in-depth knowledge of both Occupational Safety & Environment legislation and Railway Safety regulations (ROGS).

You will be familiar with safety and environment management systems and understand the requirements of emergency planning within a train operating environment.

The chosen Safety and Environment Specialist will be proactive and energetic with great influencing and communication skills as you will support managers in implementing action plans and report on safety and environmental initiatives.

You're going to be the "go to" expert on safety and environment issues so will need to be welcoming and engaging to build trust and credibility as you raise awareness across multiple locations.

THE ROLE

As the Safety and Environment Specialist, you will manage occupational safety and environment standards and develop the long-term strategy that will see you set targets and monitor key performance indicators.

You'll develop great relationships with internal stakeholders and industry bodies, ensuring you remain up to date and communicate changes to legislation and best practice processes.

The role will also see you responsible for ensuring appropriate emergency plans are in place as you deliver exceptional advice and support across multiple locations.

THE REQUIREMENTS

I want to hear from you if you have worked within a train operating environment and understand rail regulations.

A NEBOSH is essential for this role as is in-depth knowledge of occupational safety and environment legislation.
