Do you have a Level 3 Certificate in Payroll or Advance Diploma in Accounting, or equivalent experience? Are you experienced in providing support to the delivery of projects to implement change?

Our client is looking for a Finance and Payroll Manager to join their team. This position is the organisational lead on all aspects of transactional finance and payroll, including managing the provision of the commercial payroll service. This role will set and monitor performance against targets and provide expert knowledge to our client with regard to transactional finance and payroll, prepare and submit Returns and monitor and report on the their financial position.

Role Specific Skills/Knowledge:

* Desirable member (MCICM) of CICM (Chartered Institute of Credit Management)
* Demonstrable awareness of new initiatives in local government relating to transactional finance
* Substantial experience in internal and external customer management and support, dealing with challenging stakeholders and clients and demonstrating excellent customer liaison skills
* Able to develop and implement right first time-based solutions and to possess an intolerance of failure demand
* Experience and or ability to manage and lead multi disciplinary teams

This position will be for a minimum of three months.
