A full time, temporary, management role has become available to work in Liverpool within a Government body as a Senior Executive Officer. The worker will be paid at GBP10.30, rising to GBP18.18 after 12 weeks. Hours of work will be varied, working one in three weekends.

The worker will report directly to the head of unit. They will directly supervise a higher management team and have responsibility for support staff, providing leadership in a manner that enhances performance and develops the potential for all staff.

The post holder will oversee day to day management, working alongside team managers to drive all areas of performance, ensuring actions are aligned to the wider business needs. Examples of work performed will include but not be restricted to:

* Manage a unit, with the aim of optimising performance and productivity and deliver best value for money.
* Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to support operational delivery.
* Identify and manage areas of risk.
* Assure compliance with national and latest agreed tasking priorities, keeping staff focused on team targets.
* Review and update resource and capacity planning tools and impact assess trajectories against delivery expectations.
* Identify and implement process improvements.

Typical qualifications:

- Five GCSE passes at Grade C or above
- Two 'A' level passes at grade E or above or equivalent

The successful candidates will have familiarity of managing a team and exposure to project management and changes in policies and procedures. They will also have:

A good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
