The job

The Senior Payroll Assistant is a vital role where you will collate, calculate and generate accurate data input for the timely payment of wages and salaries.
You will ensure that all monthly payroll deadlines are met (approx. (Apply online only) p/m), working with teams across the business, processing BACs payments, ensure that all external requests for information are responded to within given deadlines, calculate any over payments, issue P45's and payslips for leavers, dealing effectively with any external queries, processing sickness, holiday and maternity calculations plus administrating and raising monthly payments for all scheme deductions such as health care and charity donations.

Your experience

You will have solid experience (at least 2-3 years) working within a payroll function together with good working knowledge of using computerised payroll software including Sage Payroll (essential). You will be competent with other IT systems including word processing, spreadsheets and databases, be highly organised and have fantastic attention to detail together with excellent communication skills. Immediate availability is highly desirable.
