THE OPPORTUNITY This is a fantastic opportunity for a suitable person to join the team as a Compliance Manager or Senior Compliance Manager at the Manchester Office. You will be providing compliance advisory support services to clients, you will carry out consultancy visits and external audits and build and maintain relationships with existing and new clients, ensuring high quality standards in both delivery and client service throughout. The portfolio typically comprises of UK owner managed businesses, and international high net worth clients in a range of sectors, with property being a key sector. Dependent on your individual preference, the role can be tailored to include an active part in business development opportunities, proposals and networking. THE ROLE Your duties will include: Managing deliverable and contractual scope to ensure delivery against client's compliance obligations;VAT technical and accounting review of draft returns and client specific exception reports;Selecting specific transactions for further review;Liaising with the clients;Leading external audits;Keeping up to date with legislation and practical changes which impact VAT compliance. ABOUT YOU You will ideally be a qualified (ACCA, ACA, AAT or equivalent) Audit and Accounts Associate who is looking for career progression, and a step up in terms of responsibility. You will have proven practice experience, excellent knowledge of compliance, and strong technical skills. Part qualified, and those qualified by experience are also invited to apply.
