Assistant Accountant- 12 month FTC Location- Bristol, commutable from Bath, Somerset, Newport, South Wales, Gloucestershore, Cheltenham, Swindon and Wiltshire Salary GBP27,000- GBP33,000 + Excellent Benefits Ambridge Harris is currently supporting their Central Bristol based client in recruiting for an Assistant Accountant. The Assistant Accountant will be responsible for the production of the financial results for 2 business divisions, encompassing external customer reporting requirements and internal management accounts. You will be required to advise on and reconcile the indirect (VAT) tax account amongst others. You will also be responsible for monitoring cash flow, managing the credit control processes, and completing all reporting for treasury functions including monitoring and accounting for investments. In doing so, the Assistant Accountant will assist senior finance staff with strategic planning, budgeting, financial and management accounts whilst also preparing data and narrative for various monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports concerning all aspects of the business. In managing a small team, the AssistantAccountant will need to also develop their direct reports and provide a flexible approach that increases their exposure to finance practices and maximises their learning opportunities.
