Who are we?

We are a Group of companies providing housing and support that makes a real difference to people`s lives.

Pobl Group is the parent Company and provides the corporate services required for each of the Group companies. This ranges from Finance, Human Resources, IT and Facilities Management to Communications & Marketing and Sales.

We operate with an internal, internal audit team who work across the group delivering the groups internal audit strategy through a three year rolling audit plan. Knowing our risks and ensuring they are effectively identified, managed and mitigated is a key priority for us and forms a significant part of the regulatory framework in which we operate.

We are currently finalising the Group`s approach to Value for Money. As well as achieving value for our customers is important that we can demonstrate that we deliver effective services across the group as efficiently and effectively as we can, not just because our customers expect it, because it`s the right thing to do and makes good business sense

The post holder will be the key strategic lead for the internal audit function, risk management framework and the Groups approach to value for money

What will you do?

The role leads on the assurance function across the group, ensuring our internal control framework is effective and internal audit adds real value back into the business. The post holder will also be the groups lead on risk management and value for money

You will line manage the Assurance team and will be a key member of the Finance and Procurement divisions senior leadership team

You will be driven to improve services and demonstrate continuous improvement and service delivery, particularly in relation to our digital aspirations.

We are looking for a real difference maker - someone who can take on the challenge and really demonstrate the added value created from internal audit and an effective but supporting control framework. You will need to feel passionately about delivering value for money across the group and have a key focus on the benefits of a sound risk management framework and how it can help the group grow and develop effectively.

You will need:

-A clear view on what an excellent Assurance team looks like
-Strong communication skills
-A good eye for detail and the ability to take on several things at the same time
-A methodical approach to handling data from various sources.
-Confidence to challenge data received
-A drive and determination to embrace digital Pobl and explore what that means for the Assurance team
